
Kurt Von Gonten – Associate
KURT VON GONTEN was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina in 1986, his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern Law School in 1991, and an LLM in Real Property Development from the University of Miami in 2018. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Florida Bar Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to joining DRDBC, Mr. Von Gonten practiced law in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, concentrating in representing and advocating the interests of property owners, the construction trade, real estate professionals, lenders, and community associations.
Throughout legal his career Mr. Von Gonten has been passionately engaged in both professional and civic affairs. He was Vice-Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, Division II and past Secretary of the Upper Keys Bar Association. He has served on the boards of the Rotary Club of Perrine-Cutler Ridge/Palmetto Bay, The Cultural Council, Inc. of South Dade, and the Miami Civic Music Association. A long-time member of the Masonic fraternity, he is a Past Master of Biscayne Bay Lodge and was recognized in 2021 by The Grand Lodge of the Republic of Venezuela for his efforts in organizing humanitarian relief for that country.
